Moby Dick; or the whale
Herman Melville
Classic
So after he went to the dock to set sail and find his crew. He was late, like always and decided to spend the night in a hotel. The Hotel was old with lots of pictures of whale hunter and their equipment. Although there was one that was interesting, although it was covered up in smoke to see but if you look closer you could see a huge whale. It boggled his mind how big it was and then he saw its jaw. It was enormous. Then i went to the counter and asked for a room. I was put in the same room as a whale hunter so i could see how they were. I went to dinner and i was wondering were was my roommate. I saw a few whale hunters at another table and they just came back from a long voyage. They were loud and entertained me for a while. Then i went to my room and saw he wasn't there. I tried to go to sleep but i couldn't. Then i heard footsteps and he opened the door. He had tattoos all over his face and scared me so i screamed to called the guy that was at the lobby he came in and told me its okay and that he wouldn't hurt me. After that we slept quietly. I woke up the next day and saw he wasn't there. I went to lunch and saw him but we didn't talk. Then i deiced to go to the church since i was christian but never had time to go to the church. Then i saw him there to. It was amazing that he would be there i would never guess he would be in a church. Then i saw him in the lobby reading a book and i though it would only be respectful if i tried to make friends with him. So we talked a bit and it he seemed like a quiet and nice guy. He said he would give his life for me. The next day we agreed to go on the same ship and join the same crew. When we got on the ship people were swearing at him and didn't want to come close to him while he stared at the ocean then one man said that i must be the same so he picked him up by his shirt and said if he says one more thing he would hurt him. Then he threw him on the deck and the guy called the captain. There was a crowd of people around him and he was still ignoring him. Then the sail broke and pushed a man overboard. My friend fixed the sail and jumped in the water to save the man but he wasn't seen ever again. After that everybody was calling him a hero and cheering while all he wanted was some peace and quite.
The protagonist of the book reminds my mom of my younger brother because he judges people at the first look if they don't look friendly he wouldn't talk to them. I think the same of it.

Ogi, even though you definitely summarized what you read, you slightly explained the protagonist similarities to another in your life.
ReplyDeleteAlso, there are a few grammar mistakes.
This is a great book. The post was pretty good maybe just check over it.
ReplyDeleteHahaha Alex...you've been very critical here. I think the book sounds interesting, Ogi, even though my dad said it was not the book that would be on the must read list. I'm sorry to hear your brother judges people by their looks, because it can be a big mistake sometimes...
ReplyDeleteI don't get the part though when you said: "My friend fixed the sail and jumped in the water to save the man but he wasn't seen ever again." Why did you talk about yourself there? x-D
