Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

At this part of my reading, Harry and Hermione are left
alone. Earlier in the book, Ron left
Hermione and Harry because he felt like they were getting too close. Ron was
furious and he thought that he had no other option then to leave and get his
mind of off Hermione, whom he really loved. At this point Harry is frightened,
his wand was destroyed and he felt like he had no other way of protecting
himself from Voldemort. Both of their wands had the same source of core and now
he feels like there is way that Voldemort will find him and even worse, kill
him. Harry was filled with anger towards Dumbledore. Before, the headmaster of
Hogwarts, Dumbledore died, he left had his will written to Hermione, Ron and
Harry. Everything that he wanted to give to the three, the ministry of magic succeeded
in giving. But there was one last thing that Dumbledore wanted Harry to have
and that was the Gryffindor sword. With the
sword, Harry would be able to destroy the locket that they have. The horcrux
locket cannot be broken in any other way, not even with a spell. If the locket
gets broken, the soul will escape from the horcrux and a part of Voldemort’s
soul would not be immortal. Harry was furious that Dumbledore didn't know where
the sword was hidden and why Rita Skeeter, a famous journalist kept writing
lies about Dumbledore. As Harry and
Hermione were sleeping in the tent in a snow covered forest, a shine like the
moonlight appears to be attracting Harry and making him follow it. After
following the light, Harry found himself by a frozen lake. As the light was
shining at the lake, Harry saw the sword of Gryffindor buried under the ice. Harry
reminded himself that only a true Gryffindor can find the sword and Gryffindor’s
are brave and daring so he knew that he had to swim in there for the sword. As
he got under the water, the locket around Harry’s neck starts to choke him and
he blacked out. He woke up and found himself lying beside the lake with Ron
holding the sword. Since Ron saved Harry, Harry told him that he was the one
who needed to destroy the Horcrux. As Harry opened the locket and leaving it on
a stone for Ron to destroy, the locket begins to say lies and Ron’s biggest
fears like Hermione choosing Harry over him and how he never loved his mother.
He couldn't take listening to the lockets lies anymore; he brought the sword
down and destroyed the locket. Harry explained to Ron that there was nothing
going on between him and Hermione and Ron believed him. He also apologized for
leaving them alone and decided to help and continue with the quest.
Like
always, I really enjoy reading each part of the book but this part was
different. This part was very surprising. There were many things happening very
quickly. The first surprise was when Ron left Harry and Hermione; there was a feeling
like he wouldn’t come back. Then when Ron found the sword and saved Harry was
one of the most heroic things that happened in the book so far. I really
enjoyed reading these couple of chapters. There was so much to look forward to.
I kept waiting and reading to find out what will happen to Ron, if he would
come back and if Harry would find the sword. Something very shocking happened,
something that I never thought would happen. Ron was the one who found the
sword and shattered the locket.
I am very anxious to continue reading the book and to find
out which Horcrux will be discovered next and what will happen to the
characters in the upcoming chapters.
“I have
seen your heart and its mine” (pg.306)
This passage was about the Horcruxes and Voldemort. This is basically
saying what the Horcrux keeps inside of it. It keeps the soul of Voldemort and
it makes him immortal. I also found this sentence quite interesting and scary. It’s
interesting and scary at the same time to read about an object such as a locket that keeps the soul of a dark wizard and the object also keeps the owners heart in some ways.
Looks like you put effort in your blog post. Bravo ! :))
