White Ghost Girls
Passage Section:
" 'Let's run ahead,' Frankie whispers, pulling me close. It's our chance the see the real Red Guards, not the smooth-faced students we saw trough the car window. 'Come on' [...]
This passage kind of made me anxious cause i felt trouble the moment she said that and i had to read on to see what would happen. Whether they would come out safely or whether something bad would happen.
Author: Alice Greenway
Genre: Young Adult Fiction: Multicultural
Pages: 72/168 (44%)
Summary: In these chapters Frankie convinces Kate to go see the Red guards up close. They slip away for Ah Bing and take a look. When the police come they decide they should start to head back to Ah Bing. On the way back they are kidnapped and the men who kidnapped them tell Kate that he will give her a bad of "lychees" (aka. Bombs) and that she will kindly go give it to a police man or else well consider your sister gone. Kate with her white skin is "invisible" so nor the police or the Red Guards notice her as she instead of giving the bag to the police, drops it in a barrel causing a huge explosion and runs back to her sister who she finds throwing up into the gutter! >.< >O<

Did what you expected to happen last time happen?
Sort of. Kate introduced the kidnappers and a small conflict happened but i was expecting a much bigger one.
What do you expect for your continued reading?
I think that finally a big conflict will happen and the sisters will be devastated. :( Passage Section:
