The Return of the King

J.R.R. Tolkien

Science Fiction

120 pages

This week a have read the most interesting part so far in this book because the army of Mordor almost break through Minas Tirith’s defenses. But the riders of Gondor arrive just in time to help them defeat the army. Also the the Lord of the Nazgûl, the Black Captain kill king Théoden while they were figting but shortly after he was defeated by Lady Éowyn and Merry. She took the sword from the king and cut his head off. The orcs regroup after but Aragorn arrives with the black ships, which he conquered with the help of the Dead. He arrives by the river Anduin River and defeats the rest of the army of orcs.

'We know it well,' said Aragorn, 'and never shall it be forgotten in Minas Tirith or in Edoras.'
This sentence was after the fight was finished and the army of Gondor and Minas Tirith defeated the armies of orcs. Aragorn said this sentence. This meant a lot because this castle shouldn’t have been forgotten to what has happened to it the fighting and the victory against the orcs.
