The Man behind the Microchip Luka Brown blog post 6

Life at Fairchild Semiconductors was getting boring for Robert Noyce. He was the type of person who wanted to be in a lab coat, experimenting with different things until he came up with something. He decided to leave Fairchild Semiconductors with his friend, Gordan Moore. Soon after they left the duo was able  to come up with a company called Intel which today is the world's leading developer or memory chips and most modern computers use the Intel memory chip. Robert Noyce said that the hardest part was coming up with the name Intel. As this was happening Robert broke up with his wife Betty because she was speculating that he was trying to avoid her. While working at Intel Robert Noyce was able to overlook the invention of the microprocessor, which allowed all the computers essential components to be placed onto a single integrated circuit.Even though things were great at Intel he left because he was tired of the spotlight. In 1990 he died of a heart attack in Texas.

The first great thing that my person did was co invent the integrated circuit. The integrated circuit allowed electronics to have a better processing speed and a decrease in size. Without Robert Noyce computers to this date would still be big and ineffective. We might not even have portable devices like phones.  He was also a great humanitarian. Which ever company he was in ended up being great. Whenever his colleagues were asked how he treated you they would say that he treated them like family. He was also able to supply jobs for millions of people across the world. Which ever business he entered became worldwide.

  1. Interesting post. I did not know these people until
you told me. I realized that he literally built the modern world, because without microchip, computer will be huge, which is super inefficient. Good work!
