Book summary:
In the beginning of the book, Ryan and Regan
Resnick are forced to leave their friends behind to move into the
deep woods of Pennsylvania, and they were positive that they will have the
most boring summer ever. But this is before they overheard their parent’s
conversation and figured out that they were scientists, and were lying
to them about the reason for the move, and even worst
than that, is that they found out that they are a part of a
mysterious project that could get them killed or imprisoned.
Ryan and Regan are so determined to find out the truth about
their parents, that they puzzle out secret passwords, and climb over barbed-wire
fences, slide under laser beam alarms and ninja by the security guards to make
a discovery beyond their wildest imaginings. One example of solving a riddle was when they were trying to get into a secret room elevator and the computer told them they had to give a 12 letter password from these words, "we are in the middle of nowhere". They came up with "NO-we-are-WHERE" (Richards 42). Their parents are part
of a top-secret team of scientists gathered to investigate a huge, abandoned,
underground city built by a far more advanced alien civilization than us. Some
of the dangers that might and could occur while they are trying to discover
this, “underground civilization” is the unknown fact of if they are capable of
destroying humanity entirely. The children have stumbled
into the middle
of The Prometheus Project, the greatest find in human
history, and into big, big trouble.
Little do Ryan and Regan know
that their troubles are just beginnin
Blog Post Question #6:
Coach Mike Krzyzewski is one of the most well known, not only coaches of college basketball, but one of the biggest and best mentors anyone would and could ever have. "Coach K", as he was called be many of his fans/family/friends and press, deserves the title of being one of the GREATEST people our planet has had yet. My reasoning:
- Teaching: Coach K in his book, said that if he didn't have basketball with him, or if basketball wasn't a part of his life, that he would have definitely become a teacher because of love of being with Children and teaching them new things.
- Coaching: Coach K has an amazing basketball carrier, not just in playing at West Point in 1969, but in coaching all up to today, and many years to come.
- Character:
Nice blog post, and the book you are reading sounds really interesting. But it seems like you didn't finish the part that is actually about Coach K. Also, maybe you should write it as an actual paragraph and not as bullet points. You should also add another picture of Coach K, it makes the blog post seem more interesting :)
ReplyDeleteThe book that you are reading right now sounds awesome even though it has nothing to do with Coach K. You could of talked more about him and from what you wrote it's not even finished. Still, it's a good blog post
ReplyDeleteI agree with Luka. I have a book about Coach K too :DD You wanted to play for him right? I hope you get too !
ReplyDeleteI really liked your post, the book sounds very good. However you should have picked one that is about Coach K. I think him being a basketball player is really cool :) great job
