Living History week 6

Title: My Life
Author: Earvin Magic Johnson
Genre: Biography
Pages: 364

When he was convinced that he had aids then he knew he had to retire and didn't think twice. Then he wanted to spread the word and help kids. He first tried to raise awareness for it by sending a letter to the president of the united states and asking him to start a campaign against it and help it. After a few days he was disappointing that he didn't do anything so he started something alone. First he acted on a few cartoon and a show on Nickelodeon, it was called talk with magic Johnson. There i talked about how to prevent it and help everybody, not get it. It was the biggest thing he did since he was saving lives and it make him feel good. After that he wrote a book which talked just like teenagers so not many publisher accepted it but it would help them understand.

Questions:

1. I think that magic Johnson was great person since no one was there to guide him to his life path, he created it by himself out of nothing. He had to work hard for everything that he wanted and that made him a great person. He had a amazing basketball career where he changed the game completely and even after all of that he became a great businessman which not many other people were able to do. Even though he got aids he admitted it and he acknowledged it, but he tried to help. When everybody else hardly knew anything about the disease and he helped people get passed it. He showed that those people shouldn't be ignored and avoided and that they are just like anybody else.

  2. It was interesting, but also kind of confusing, cause you switch from talking in first person to talking in third person. Also you could add a picture, and maybe make it more clear which are your three great things about Magic Johnson, like write first, second, third. Also you could add a picture, it makes the blog post more interesting.
