The first part of the book I red is really interesting.Its mostly talks about the main character ,Trisha.It also talks about how her parents got divorced and how are the kids ajusting to the divorce.The first things you should know is that Trisha is a 10 year old girl who loves the baseball player Tom Gordon, as well as her dad.Trisha misses her dad a lot becaus she and her dad had a special bond.Trisha has a doll named Mona and a baseball cap which she loves because it was her dads.Trisha's brother,Pete, is a type of person that complains even when there is nothing he can complain about.He is 13 years old and loves computer games.Quilla(Trisha's mum) is a hard woriking,pacient person that loves spending time with her family.
During the divorce of Quilla and Larry the kids where a nervous reck because they didn't know if they were staying with their dad or moving with their mum.Saidly,they got to move with their mum.They have just entered the experience of being new in town,new in school;they got to live in a new house,sourrounding,life styles.Trisha and Quilla were trying their best to try and fit in but Pete didn't want to,but even when he did he didn't like it.Quilla and pete arrgue all the time because Pete cannot fit in and dose not like it there,he wants to go back to his dad.While Quilla is focusing all of her emotion and enegry into helping Pete she ocationaly forgets to devide her enegry equaly for both Pete and Trisha.Since almost every weekend Quilla orgaizes something for them to do this weekend they were supposed to go highing.Pete did not like the idea but Trisha did.When the day finaly came they got packed and sat in the car.Pete And Quilla were fighting all the way while Trisha was amagining meeting Tom Gordon.When they got there and started highing Quilla and Pete coutinueded the fight.Trisha felt she had to go pee and wanted to ask her mum if and where she can.She yelled out 3 times mum but Quilla did not hear her.Trisha decides to go alone,hoping she will know a way back.....

That sounds so cool, a lot of kids don't fit in a lot of times, so the book also relates to reality:)
