Title: Mustang Wild Spirit of the West

Number of Pages: 223
Genre Novel: Classic

This story was happening in American West. The main character is Annie, also known as "Wild Horse Annie." She was given this name because Annie had a great love for wild mustangs. She had a mustang of her own as well, called Hobo, whom she had loved all her life. As a small child, Annie used to prance around the fields, and watch the Wild Horses running by, their tails and manes flying. These scenes were fascinating to Annie, and she enjoyed her life, that is until she saw how mustangs were brutally treated.
Annie could not stand to watch these lovely creatures being treated so. She saw them being chased by trucks and aeroplanes, and mistreated in all kind of ways, just so they would be killed for dog and cat food. Annie was very scared that the mustangs would go extinct. She couldn't just stand and watch her favourite and animals being tortured, she had to act. Anne's goal was to persuade as many people as possible from preventing mustangs being killed. It was said they were destroying the the crops of sheep and cows, and that they were destructive and worthless. Annie didn't think so. She fought with all her heart, to give freedom to the mustangs. They were innocent creatures, and beautiful, and they had the right to live on the Earth as much as we did.
I agree very much with Annie. I find it very brave of her to fight for mustangs. This story shows only how greedy and cruel people can be. There was no big reason for the mustangs to be killed, especially in such a violent way. What I find nice about this story, is that it shows that girls can also fight, girls can also do great things, not just men. Annie's dad always used to say:
"Cry like a girl, act like a girl, but think like your daddy."
This meant that Annie should be brave. She was strong. She could cried and acted like a girl, but thought like a man. Her soul was connected to the mustangs.

  2. Sounds interesting. Just so you know, I would do the same to prevent animals getting hurt.
