Book: Being
Author: Kevin Brooks
Pages:323
Genre: Mystery, fantasy, romance
You come home one day but it's different, the curtains are shut, it is ice cold and freezing still. Suddenly a light goes switches on and you see your worse enemy sitting in the middle of you apartment, you know you can't do anything about it, you're trapped. That is exactly what happened to Eddi and Robert when they entered their apartment one night. However I won't tell the whole story in detail, I will skip close to the ending. By this time 3 people were already dead in the room, Edi(who was killed by Ryan), Kelly(Ryans assistant), and Ryans bodyguard, they have all been shot. The only two left in the room and Ryan and Robert himself, Ryan is about to kill him when : Robert takes a knife and cuts his hand open-red,black,silver liquids start pouring out. Ryan puts his gun down and looks at the hand-this is the moment, and Robert finally says,"Remember this, you'll never see it again," and before he could react Robert punches him the hardest in his face knocking quite a bit of teeth out, but he doesn't kill him. In the end of the story it says Robert was decided that killing Ryan would just be making him favor, however letting him live without knowing is more cruel. Robert walks into the black night.
Throughout this whole story I have been waiting to know the answers to what Robert was, I thought he was some sort of robot but it was hard to believe because he led a normal life with feelings etc. even thought it is true that he couldn't cry, didn't have friends and that stuff. I don't like the ending that much, because you don't know what happens, I wonder if Robert will ever die or if the security people will capture him. I rate this book thumbs up because it is very interesting basically all about what Robert has been through and his messed up life. I am not satisfied with the ending, but I wouldn't want there to be a continuation of this book because now everyone is gone, there is nothing left to know except for what he is, but I guess that is up to us to imagine.

This sounds like an interesting book. Robert is probably not a robot since you wrote that he cut himself and weird liquids were coming. I liked that you didn't describe the whole book.Good job
