Book: Being
Author: Kevin Brooks
Pages:323
When I think of this book, I think of a person, Irina. She was the one who told me about this book which she had heard about, when I first saw the book I was like, "Oh no, this book is going to bore me to death", but man was I wrong.
Robert Smith wakes up in the middle of his endoscopy, but the problem is that he is not exactly normally awake. He can hear everything around him, the doctors are about to open his stomach up because there is something unusual, of course he does not like this idea but he can not wake up. Then in a sudden second while they have already opened him up he wakes up, grabs a pistol and tells everyone to stay still. The next 2 chapters talk all about that but I won't bore you with it. Robert escapes with Kamal(a younger doctor). Kamal brings him to the train station and Robert decides to travel to London to a old friend, Eddi. As he arrives to her flat, she is surprised to see him but allows him in, there is something wrong about her flat and he later discovers that she has drugged him because there was now an award going for whoever found him, he was charged for murder of a doctor who they say he had stabbed but that was not true. After a lot of adventures and gaining trust, Edi and Robert start to have a relationship and start working because they have been robbed.
That is the story, but what is even more interesting are the characters, here is something you didn't know:
I really like this story because it takes unexpected turns all the time and I wonder what BEING stands for. Maybe it is the name of the story because he is not a human being but some other being. I have about 20 pages left to read, and I am really excited to see what will happen.

That is the story, but what is even more interesting are the characters, here is something you didn't know:
Robert Smith:
- is a 16year-old
- is an Orphan
- is much stronger than he looks
- doesn't have any friends nor does he trust
- there are wires inside his body with weird liquids
- he is very confused and Ryan(the chief doctor) is after him making him forget about anything
- changes his whole look
- is a fake id maker
- is the one to change Roberts look
- doesn't really like Robert
- kills Morris,a security guard, who recognizes them, but it was self-defense
- is later on killed
I really like this story because it takes unexpected turns all the time and I wonder what BEING stands for. Maybe it is the name of the story because he is not a human being but some other being. I have about 20 pages left to read, and I am really excited to see what will happen.
