Quote
from the book: "-Packed with muggles of course-". I choose this quote because this is how Harry figures out how to get to the train for Hogwarts. He hears Ron's mother say this accidentally and knew right then they were wizards because of the word "muggles" (Ron is the one of the main characters and become one of Harry's best friends). His mother helps Harry get to platform 9 3/4. Without her he wouldnt know how to get to the train.
What
happened until now: The last time I wrote about this book I stopped when harry potter was going through Diagon Alley. On the train to Hogwarts Harry meets Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger (other 2 main protagonists), he and Ron get along from the start, however with Hermione, not so well. When they get to Hogwarts of course everyone knows and adores him, except for one teacher, Severus Snape who see like he hates him and is very suspicions. As he reads the daily profit (newspaper) he comes across an article which states that the Gringotts bank has been broken-in. The vault which was open was emptied before the break happened on the same day. Harry knows that Hagrid was the one who took what ever was in that vailt, and it is very important to Albus Dumbledore (Head Master of Hogwarts). One night harry wanted to have a duel with his enemy in the school, Drace Malfoy. Harry hated him more then Dudley which he thought was impossible. When Harry, Ron and Hermione try to sneak out for the duel, they get caught and run fast into the forbidden room on the third floor. They get mortified by whats in there, a huge dog with 3 heads. Hermione realizes that it is standing on something which means its guarding what ever is in there. Ron starts suspecting that snape is trying to steal what ever the dog is guarding. The three best friends research about what is in that forbidden room. Hagrid tells them it is the sorcerer's stone and about someone named Nicolas Flamel. They research and find out that the stone gives power and immortality and Flamel is the maker. They realize that Snape is the one who needs it, not for him but for the Dark Lord Voldemort. They need to get the stone before Snape does. As they pass the 3 headed dog, they have more obstacle
to pass. They need to pass the Devils Snare, flying keys, a real and dangerous game of wizards chess, a puzzle and of course who ever is waiting for harry on the other side. As he walks away from Hemione and Ron Harry is stunned by what he seas. It was Professor Quirrell (defense against the dark arts teacher). He was the one helping Voldemort, keeping him alive. As he attacks Harry to get the stone for The Dark Lord, he falls over harry, starts choking him and thinks its the end. So what do you think, what will happen to the stone, Voldemort, Quirrell and Harry?
Harry's friends:
Ron Weasley: One of main protagonist
Ron is the sixth to go to Hogwarts. His parents aren't the richest however very caring. Ron feels like they don't care about him since he doesn't get new cloths however his brothers. He is not the smartest and is a daredevil. He is one of Harry's best friends.
Hermione: On of main Protagonist
Hermione is the only child in her family. She is a mud blood which means her parents are not witches and wizards. She is very good, she doesn't like breaking rules and hating being wrong. She knows the answer to every question. She is one of Harry's best friends.
My thought haven't changed or this book. I still love it, for many reasons. There is lots of action, adventure and excitement. When I start reading it I just cant stop. It pools you in like you are experiencing everything along with the characters.
THUMBS UP!!! :D
I really loved this first book because it very unique. It has many details enough to make me have a crystal clear picture of how every scene looks like. I wouldn't recommend it to younger kids since it has some violent scenes.
