Quote from the book: “Nothing. I just hadn’t realized before. Did you know, you’re sort of beautiful?” That’s something Bella says to Jacob, which is not very good because she actually doesn’t want to raise his hopes that she might fall in love with him if he just waits long enough. I like it because I think it’s funny that she says “sort of” beautiful. I don’t know how someone can be sort of beautiful, but maybe she said it because she didn’t want it to sound like a big compliment.

What happened until now: Bella and Edward are together and happy, because Edward saved Bella from James, the thirsty vampire who wanted to kill her. It’s Bella’s birthday and although she should be happy, she is nearly depressed because now she’s 18- and Edward will never be 18! She begs him again and again to turn her into a vampire, but he refuses. Alice, Edward’s sister, planned a birthday party for Bella despite the fact that Bella doesn’t want one.               
Bella cuts her finger and Jasper, Edward’s youngest brother, for whom it was always harder to resist Bella’s blood, tries to attack her. Although nothing happened, it makes Edward start thinking again. After several days, he tells Bella the horrible news: he’s moving away, she should try to forget him and pretend like he never existed! Bella is devastated and for several months lives lifeless. Jacob, the boy from La Push, helps her “wake up” again. Bella once hears Edward’s voice in her head, and from then on she tries to do reckless and stupid things to get more of these hallucinations- with Jacob’s help! They fix two motorcycles and try to find the meadow Edward showed to Bella once.          
In the meanwhile, people get attacked by “humongous bears”, how people describe the creatures. But Bella finds out that Jacob is a werewolf and that the “humongous bears” are actually five big wolves. Of course Bella is scared first because she thinks Jacob and his pack murder people, but actually they just try to protect them from the vampire Victoria- James’s mate who wants to kill Bella, because Edward killed James!        
Bella tries out cliff diving and Alice thinks she tried to murder herself and comes to Forks. Rosalie (Edward’s other sister) tells Edward about it and he is so upset that he goes to the Volturi, to Italy so they kill him. Fortunately, Bella and Alice are not too late and save him. But the Volturi now want Edward, Bella and Alice to join them. Will they join? What will happen to Edward and Bella? And what about Jacob? Read the book and find out :)

This is the second book of the Twilight- series and though it’s still interesting, I don’t like it as much as the first one. It is a tiny bit boring because the author describes all the not-so-important things very detailed and only a few “big” things happen. Still, overall it’s interesting so thumps up!
