PEEPS

Informational/Parasites:

Trematodes:
Trematodes are little parasites that come from birds poop. While the trematodes are in the birds stomach (you are probably wondering how they get there, i will explain it to you in a second), they don't hurt the bird, all they do is just wait until the bird poops them out into some kind of water. When the parasites eggs hatch inside the pond, they swim around looking for a snail. Trematodes are so small, that they can lay eggs in the snails eye. Once they find the snail, they lay eggs in the snails eye, for some reason they always choose the left eye. Once the eggs hats they start eating away the eye, and then spread through the body. But they don't kill the snail, not right away. When the Trematodes get down into the snails stomach, they eat everything thats in it, so the snail feels hungry. It keeps eating and eating, until the Trematodes decide its enough. Somehow they make the eye that they ate, shine and wriggle about and change colors. That gets the birds attention and the birds eat them. And then it just goes on and on like the cycle of life. :) Pretty interesting hu? But kinda disgusting.

Toxoplazma:
Toxoplazma are little parasites that can be found in both humans and animals. For a fact, almost all of us, have toxoplazma in our bodes. Scientist took a mixture of both men and women, some had toxoplazma some didn't, and they ran some test on them.
Men who are infected with toxoplazma don't shave every day, don't wear ties too much, and don't like following social rules. Woman who are infected with toxoplazma like to spend money on clothes, and they tend to have lots of friends. We have a couple of people in 8th grade who have the toxplazma in them. :) Toxoplazma is carried around by cats, and can be transferred through humans. Kind of cool don't ya think?
