The Adventures of Tom Sawyer

Tom Sawyer. He is a mischievous, smart, kind heart boy. Tom is always doing something he is not suppose to do. He lives with his Aunt Polly, brother Sid, and sister Mary. In the beginning of the book Tom of course is in trouble and what is his reward? He gets to paint the fence! All his friends are off having fun and he gets to paint the fence. So while he paints one of his friends come up and tell him to come play Tom says no and that he is not doing chores. And that he is actually getting a special privileged. Tom is making painting the fence sound like a cool awesome thing to do and that its a life time chance. So his friend offers to do it, and for it he will give Tom an apple. So soon enough lots of boys want to do it, and Tom gets a big pile of things! This is what I find the smart thing about Tom he is always thinking of ways to get out of doing jobs.

But Tom is not just a boy he also does have love in his life. There is one girl Becky Thacher to him she is the beautifulest girl in the town. At school on his chalk baord he writes to her I love you and tells her to meet him after school. He tells her that she must say I love you to him, she does. But then he says they must get ingaged and to do that they must kiss. Becky is shy and sweet and kisses him. Now we are ingaged! says Tom. Oh young love! Ofcourse in this text they are boyfirend and girlfriend. But Tom mentioned another girl and that really made Becky mad and jealous.

The second main character in this book is Huckleberry Fin. He is the boy in the town who does the things that all the boys wish they could do. He has his father but he is always drunk and his mother people say she is a witch. One day Tom talks to Huck, and Huck is holding a dead cat, he says that if you take it to a graveyard at night with the spirits it will take of all your warts. (Pretty disgusting in my opinion). He told Tom he can come along with him. Tom is defiantly going to go.

This book is a cool book, its just nice and easy but its funny and interesting. Tom is quite the character always up to something. So this book is great and im excited to keep on reading.
