This is book 5&6 from the Mediator trilogy by Meg Cabot. This series of  books are about a girl called Susannah Simon and she is a mediator which means she can see and speak to ghosts. She just moved with her mom to California, Carmel Bay with her stepfather and his three boys; David, Brad and Jake. She goes to a school called Carmel High and the principal- father Dominic is also a mediator. She is very lucky, since she has someone to talk about Jesse. The guy she loves the most. But wouldn't it be really weird discussing your love life with a teacher or you priest principal and not your mom?! Well if the guy is dead and you can't actually introduce him as boyfriend then yes. You are going to discuss this with the only person that understands you.

This summer I read book 3&4 (Mean Spirits & Young Blood) and what is happening is that her boyfriend tried to kill her because he knew she could see ghosts and the truth about him killing 4 high school students and when she literally got rid of him she went to find a job and the only one left was a babysitter at the most luxurious hotel in Carmel. Where... she met Jack. Who cam from another state of America and was also a mediator but since he was easily tricked as a 3 grader, Jesse's old love, Maria de Silva tricked him by saying he had to exorcise Jesse. While she tried to save him Paul, Jack's brother found her saying that he should leave Jesse and go with him. And that's why she hates him.

At this book (5&6) her Suze's summer vacations are over and she is happy to see CeeCee and Adam, her best friends, but a big surprise finds her. Paul, her worse enemy, moved to Carmel and signed up at Carmel High. What she was trying to find out is why he did this. His family is very rich so couldn't he go to another, better school and is appropriate for his class? But no, he tries to ruin her life. While she has these problems another comes up. One day, when Jake (the older brother of all her stepbrother) returned from college, he brought a friend with him called Neil. But this friend wasn't alone. He had brought company that only she could see. Craig, Neil's dead brother, told Suze that he was dead because of his brother that didn't know how to swim and he drowned him. Now she is trying to find out what Craig left undone so he could move on to his next life or wherever the dead go.

This is a really interesting book. When I read 3&4 I didn't need to know what happened at the first two but now that I am reading the last two, it keeps flash backing me to the previous one. I rate it is thumbs up and would recommend it to anyone that like ghost stories and mysteries.
