The Kite Runner

The Kite Runner
Author: Khaled Hossenini

So far this book has been really interesting! Amir and his father were now living in America. He had finished collage he has met a lovely girl Soraya and has married her. Also his dad died. Amir has gotten a phone call from his dads old friend Rahim Khan he has given him some letters that Hassan had sent to him. And told him that he had a beautiful  family a lovely wife and a son who could read and write and was deadly with a slingshot. But the taliban had shot him and his wife. His son Sohrab had been sent to an orphanage. Amir wants to find his friends son, he goes to Kabul to find him Kabul is nothing like he remebers everyone is beggers and the streets are just ruble and dust. He meets a nice begger who knew his mother. When he goes to the orphange he asks the director for Sohrab he says he doesent have him but Amir is able to get him to open the door by telling him all these things of how he knows this boy. The director lets them but says the Tablian have taken him and have given him money for it, he said they always want kids and if they dont get one they will take ten, he feels terrible about it but then they can hurt the kids and they will get no money for food for the kids. Now Amir is on his way to go find the boy.

To me I feel as if Hassan is not dead I want him to still be alive, maybe he is! I just hope so I think Rahim Khan lied to Amir, and I hope they find the boy aswell. Also the begger who told Amir he knew his mum said this and I think it is really lovely, 'The desert weed lives on, but the flower of spring blooms and wilts.'
Its sad but at the same time beautiful.
