The Va**** Monologue

The Va**** Monoluge
P. 184
By Eve Ensler

The Va**** Monologue is a book telling about woman's encounters with them selves and with people taking control of them and making them do things that they are not comfortable with. Right now i am on page 30 in the book. The book is really short but it has so much information in it telling about these woman's experiences. There was one story that i read about in the book, it was this woman who was dating this man. She didn't like to shave but her husband only liked it when she shaved. So he cheated on her. They started going to therapy, and then she finally gave up the fight just shaved to please her husband but even though she did her husband kept cheating on her. All the stories end just like this, not really giving a conclusion. It just ends suddenly and then moves on to the next woman telling her story. I am not that far in the book, but my mom read it, and she said that it is real strong and cruel. When i say strong i don't mean hard to read i mean like the experiences of these woman are so intense that it crazy that this kind of stuff happened to them.

Also my mom said once i get further into the book, there is a story about a Serbian woman and her problems. This book has a lot to do with human trafficking. I know a lot about human trafficking because my mom and my dad worked for a company trying to stop it around Asia and other countries like Europe and America.

I am really enjoying reading this book because it tells me so much what is happening around the world to woman for all sorts or reasons. I also like how it is taking the words from the interviews and putting them into the book, so that i know exactly what the woman is trying to say and tell people about her encounters. This book is interesting and just plain great, i would recommend this book to a lot of my friends. Please find this book and just start reading.

I had to cross out some of the letters because the name of the book is some what inappropriate.
