This book is form a series of 10 books written by the Australian athor John Flanagan. This book is set in a time where electricity didn't exist, and wars were being fought with swords and horses. In this story the main character, who is a spy; is tracking a group of bandits who are stealing money from villages and towns. However when he finds them one of his comrades is shot by a poisened bolt and he needs to find the group of bandits and torture tham until he finds the antidote. This story tells the tale of how he finds amd tortures the bandit until he finds out the antidote. And when his comrade is saved, he still has to kill all the others before they cross the border.
This book is for anyone who likes historic fiction. There is some action and it is very easy to read. I is the 9th book in the series.
