Title: The Ghost and the Goth

Author: Stacey Kade

Genre: Romantic Fantasy

This book is about a girl named Alona Dare and a guy named Will Killian. Alona was one of the most popular girls in school that is until the day she gets hit by a bus. She wakes up as a ghost not knowing what to do. She doesn't have anyone to talk to and she feels like she'll be like this forever. That is until she finds Will....

Will, the school outcast, wants nothing more than to leave his home. He has been known as a loser most of his life and most kids think he's crazy because he secretly has the ability to talk to ghosts. These two characters find each other and much of the story is about how their relationship develops from hating each other to liking to be together.  Alona wants to go heaven and asks Will to help her find a way.  They discover unexpected things about each other and realize they both a have a lot of secrets that they can share.

This a cute story and easy to read.  For me, it was a page-turner because the author keeps the story interesting and wanting to read to the end. This is a story for both guys and girls because it is told from two perspectives.

  1. Although the writer said that this is a good book for both boys and girls. I don't think it sounds like a book for me.
