Comments:

I love this book. It's my all-time favorite one! I have no idea why, and how I managed to love it so fast, but it's very special to me- and I'll be very sad when I finish it. This is why I tend to try to read one chapter a day in order to keep reading until the end of the month, but unfortunately I can't keep up with this tempo because I need to know what will happen in each chapter as soon as possible!!
I've read the first 9 chapters. The adventure in this book is basically about a very strange and mysterious girl named Neri, who can dive very low in the ocean in minutes to reach the sand and rocks. Not only that, but she has a special friend name Charley. At first, you might think that this 'Charley' is a human being, but it's not. It's a whale with whom she comunicates every day; and if there is trouble going on, he'll alarm her and she'll quickly swim to the person who's in trouble, and help him/her with her hands that are able to heal people.
That's not the only interesting part in this book, like it or not this is happening in the future. A diving department headquarter Orca lives underwater in huge hotels to save the ocean- they're working on science experiments and learning new things on the way. Jason, a young boy who hates his life in Orca, is one of the main characters in this book- he first finds out about Neri, when they've tried to get close to her whale Charley. Neri popped out in the middle of the ocean while they were on their boat, and she told Jason not to hurt Charley- because he was a family to her. Jason tries to tell his brother, Brett, about Neri, but who would believe him? Only stupid little kids- they might even think he found a mermaid in the ocean. But who knows. I don't even know who Neri really is.
I wonder what will happen, I'm very curious! But I'm concerned I'll finish this book fast- that's the only, small, problem.
