This story is about a young man who has just graduated 9 months earlier as a veterinarian and is trying to get a job anywhere he can find. After a couple of weeks he finds a man looking for an assistant in Yorkshire so he uses he last few pounds for a bus ride to Yorkshire. When he finally gets there he goes to the house and no one is there other than a house maid that lets hi in and he starts to wonder why a Veterinarian would leave after setting a time to meet him and then wonders if it was just a prank. When he just starts to think of leaving the vet Mr. Faron comes home from visiting his mother and takes him on a tour of the workshop.
I wouldn't recommended this book because the only reason i read is because there was no more books in my house i could find. Plus in some parts it gets confusing and kinda boring.
