The Bronze Bow

Title: The Bronze Bow
Author: Elizabeth George Speare
Genre: Historical Fiction
A young boy named Daniel was apprenticed to a blacksmith, but ran away because of the blacksmith's harsh rule.  He went to a mountain where he ran into a famous outlaw, Rosh.  Daniel became a part of their group who eventually wanted to drive the Romans out of Israel.  5 years after Daniel ran away he came across an old school-mate of his and his school-mates sister.  He talked to them for a while, but they soon left, but a caravan went by as they were heading down and Rosh and his group wanted to steal a slave from the caravan, so Daniel's old school-mate and his sister hid on the mountain until Rosh's group stole the slave.  The brother and sister then went back to their own house, and to their families.  Daniel got assigned the job of filing down the slaves chains and about a day later when he finished the slave became quite devoted to Daniel.  A few days later, another one of Daniel's old school-mates came to the mountain looking for Daniel and persuaded him to go back home for a day or two to see his grandmother and his sister.  Daniel has not seen them for 5 years, and he thought that they would not recognize him, or that he would have to go back to the blacksmith and get back to working there, but still he came to the village.
I wonder how Daniel's grandmother and sister will react when he comes home, and how he will deal with a few days there.
