Pokondirana tikva

In the past week, I have been reading the Serbian book called Pokondirana Tikva. Tikva in Serbian means pumpkin, referring for its use as a flask, while kondir is a luxurious cup. From these two words you can see Pokondirana Tikva means translated somebody trying to be someone else.
This book is very funny and talks about a widow who recieves money after her husband dies and begins acting like she is royalty. The story watches her changes and attempts to speak french.
The mother, begins scoulding her daughter for working because she says it is not the behaviour of a rich person, she also forbids her of marrying her boyfriend who she previously did not mind.

I only recently began reading the book but I am really enjoying it because it is very humorous and i enjoy that a lot.
