DoubleCross

DoubleCross
Patrick Woodrow
Fiction

This book is about a Photographer who is a qualified diver and works for National Geographic supplying them with pictures of rare sea life. A murder attempt is made on him, for what he discovers is his inheritance in the form of a sunken Japanese warship loaded with priceless metals and gems taken from the coasts of Mexico. As he sets out to find this inheritance he need to call many of his old friends to help him, some who are in debt with gamblers or the triads. As he searches for his sunken treasure he must face trial by water, trial by triads, trial by lizards, trial by snake, and trial by nosy American girl.

I think that this book is good for anyone who likes an adventure story. It is easy to read, but the plot is interesting and engaging. I would rate this book at a 8 out of ten because I think that it could be longer and have a bit more action in it. I would put this at a grade 5-8 level book. However at times the book can be a bit confusing as when the author tries to explain the laws of certain countries concerning negotiation and national treasures.

  1. David, this book seems really awesome and extremely interesting. i really like that its about a photographer. Because these kind of books and really rare, they never talk about how the photos that go into the national geographic magazine are taken and how they get that perfect shot.
