Title: You Know You Love Me: A Gossip Girl Novel
Author: Cecily von Ziegesar
Genre: Fiction
Like the Book? Buy it Now!I started reading this book because i watch the series: Gossip Girl and thought it would be interesting to read the books to. In this book the main characters are Blair Waldorf and Serena Van der Woodsen. But is told in the perspective of almost five different people every chapter. The main theme is about Blair who lives in the rich part of New York and goes to a expensive boarding school. Her Birthday is coming up and she is planning on having a huge birthday party. But then her mom drops them bomb that she is marring the man she has been dating for a while, who Blair happens to hate. But what is worse  is they are getting married the day of her birthday. She is also trying to get her boyfriend, Nate Archibald to pay more attention to her since he has been drifting away from her.
On the other hand, Serena has just come back from boarding school, since she was kicked out. Blair and her have been best friends since they were in diapers. But after disappearing for so long, Blair is mad at her because apparently the reason she left was because, Nate had cheated on Blair with her. Serena is very sorry and is trying to get Blair back, while trying to stay away from her very obsessive boyfriend Dan Humphrey.
I thought this was a great book and i couldn't stop reading it! I would recommend it to girls who love books that are kinda girly, but very funny. I plan on reading the whole series which is about 10 to 15 books in total.

  1. I just finished watching season 1 and I think that the description you made of the book is very similar. Although, there are some differences between the book and the tv searies. Do you know if they wrote the book about the show or the other way around?

I think it's very interesting, and it talks about what girls deal with everyday, so I will try reading this book too.
