Lord of the Flies

Title: Lord of the Flies
Author: William Golding
Pages: 202
Genre: Fiction/Novel

As our class novel, we are reading "Lord of the Flies" by William Golding. So far, in the past couple chapters we read in class,  a couple things have happened. The stranded boys on the island strive to survive, make up groups and share activities. Some things go out of hand, and that will eventually cause chaos and serious consequences. Even though it has been a long time now, Ralph still has the faith in being rescued. Some boys fall into conflict, and they loose the chances of being rescued.  Jack for example only cares about him proving that he's tough, and that he would make a better chief,  but he is also the reason they miss their rescue chance when the smoke on the mountain goes out.
What I think this book teaches, is how things can go out of control, and how children cannot take care of themselves. Also, I think that this book shows a true example of what would actually happen, because they don't really have anyone telling them what they do is right or wrong, besides Piggy that no one listens to, so they do what they think is right. But those tings are not right. And the book will tell us more later on as we read.  :)
