In this book the main character, Tish (who job is to buy houses, fix them, and sell them) buys what she thinks is a nice Victorian house in a small town in Michigan.  Before she can even start to remodel it, she discovers a shadow in the basement well.  She soon finds out that the house has some surprises that come with it, like a body hidden in the basement.

There is suspense, romance, and a mystery all in the one book.  Although there aren’t teen characters in the book, it is one of the best books I’ve read.  I really liked the way there are a lot stories in one book, which is a little complicated, but also makes it interesting.  I am planning to read the rest of the books in the series because it was so good.
