Th Curious Incident of the dog in the Night Time.

Title: The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time
Author: Mark Haddon
Genre:  Mystery Novel
Pages: 226

This book is what I'm reading for the mosaic book report. Since this is the only thing I've been reading lately, I decided to do a blog post about this.
So, this book, written by Mark Haddon, is a great piece of art, explainnig in detail, how a disabled child becomes an individual. He run away from his father, the person who killed a meighbor's dog, and then he decides to find his mother in London. Christopher, the main character, has autism. According to The National Autistic Society, "Autism is a lifelong developmental disability that affects how a person communicates with, and relates to, other people. It also affects how they make sense of the world around them. " Since Christopher didn't feel safe with his father, and found out that his mother is still alive (found letters from her, that his father was hiding from him) he decided to run away with his pet rat, Toby, to London. Alone, having problems with understanding the rest of the society, Christopher found his way home. After that, all his conflicts resolve with his parents, they reunite, and they become a family once again - with a dog. /and based on such a wonderful adventure, Christopher wrote a mystery novel about killing of Wellington, the dog that his father apparently murdered.

This is a really good story, and it's written in the 1st perspective of a disabled human being. His emotions, and feelings are very hard to understand, and his concept of surviving is also very different from our own. And if you want to find out what happens along the story (trust me, it's very funny) please read the book!! :)

  1. *Claps* This is by far the best ORR i have read ever :) Honestly i might read this book thanks to your summary. Although in your description it says that the ending they all reunite which makes a classic, 'Disney Movie' ending, meaning everything turns out to be great and happy. All in all, this is an amazing ORR :)
