The Cay is a book that I have read a while ago, but I find it really interesting. This book has a really sad, but exciting theme. I found it in a box of old books downstairs in the library, and started reading it. It was really interesting, so it took me 1 day to complete the whole book (105 pages).
The book itself, talks about a sinking ship, after attacks by the military during the World War II. After the ship sunk, Phillip and his mother were lost and apart. Timothy, and elderly black man, helped Phillip survive the hard times on the small cay, that they reached after escaping from the sinking of S.S. Hato.
Through out their stay, they had to help each other on the island, find food, and deal with harder situations like weather or illness.

I really like survival books so reading hearing about all these books is pretty cool. Sounds like a short but really interesting read.
