Quote from the book:"I run to meet him, my arms extended to embrace him. his hands are reaching for me,too, to caress my face, I think. My lips are just forming his name when his fingers lock around my throat." I picked this quote because it is very dramatic, it is very sudden. It shows how bad Peeta's condition really is, and how much the Capitol made him hate Katniss now. That is where you realize it for the first time.

What happened: Katniss takes stock of her new position as a rebel in District 13. She and a few others were taken out from the Quarter Quell, but Peeta is missing and under the Capitols control. Katniss is haunted by President Snow and decides to be the Mockingjay for the rebel side. Katniss has to star in commercials for the rebel side, called propos. For one propo, she and a team that includes her old friend Gale are sent into District 2, there they see a hospital destroyed. This motivated katniss to get justice. Because the rebels are gaining strength and power, and because Peeta sent out a secret message to the rebels warning them about an upcoming attack, the Capitol released footage of Peeta being tortured.

Katniss is scared for Peeta and the Capitol bombs District 13, which said in Peeta’s coded message. The citizens of District 13 go underground for a couple days and when it was clear, Katniss makes another propo, while the team is rescuing Peeta.  The rebels get Peeta but it’s too late, he is much damaged. He's been "hijacked" (brainwashed) and now he was made to think that Katniss is the enemy. When they see each other he tries to strangle her. Katniss goes back to District 2 and is part of a summit about whether to attack the other side kindly or cruelly. Gale suggests some brutal kinds of weapons and strategies. During the battle that follows, Katniss gets shot. After her recovery Katnis is trained to be part of the fights. She, Gale, and Finnick are put in a special unit that will be filmed during war and turned into more propos. Peeta is assigned to their unit too.

The commander is Boggs, after his death he assigns the role to Katniss. She tells the others about her mission to kill President Snow, they follow her on. One by one, their team members are sacrificed as they make their way to the heart of the Capitol. Only five of them, including Katniss, Gale, and Peeta, are left by the time they reach it. Then those three get separated. During the ensuing battle, many innocent children die including some close to Katniss. So who is it, who is the dead child, and from what did she/he die? Do you think will Peeta get better of will Katniss leave with Gale?

I think this book has the most action out of all 3. It also really plays with your emotions a lot. During one point I can be mad and after 10 sec I am smiling. It is very interested and keeps you locked during the entire book.
