I choose to to prove that Katniss's feelings for Peeta are real now, they are not fake at all, and she doesn't love him only for the sponsors and cameras. “I realize only one person will be damaged beyond repair if Peeta dies. Me.” and  “My nightmares are usually about losing you. I'm okay once I realize you're here.” She feels safe and secure with him, and the biggest nightmare to her is not dieing, but loosing Peeta.

What happened in the book: This book is a continuation of Hunger Games. Before they went on their victory tour, since they both won the Hunger Games, they came to President Snow and told them that he doesn't want to see any more rebellious stunts. If Katniss and Peeta want to survive, they need to keep up this made up love affair. As the victory tour goes on, Katniss finds out that people in District 8 are starting a rebellion. She realizes that her mockingjay on her pin is becoming a symbol of rebellion. President Snow is not too pleased about this. Katniss arranges a private meeting with Gale. They talk about running away together in the woods, but just start arguing. Gale wants to rebel and Katniss doesn't want that. Then she goes to find Peeta who would follow her if she wants to run away. Peeta’s and Katniss’s conversation is interrupted, because Gale was being whipped in the town square as punishment for hunting game. Katniss gets in the middle of it and is injured. She sees that her friend Darius tried to do the same and is in big trouble.  During one slow and peaceful day, Katniss runs out into the woods to think about everything that’s going on, but runs into some strangers who show her a mockingjay sign. Katniss finds out that the two peaople are rebels from District 8 going to district13. Katniss thinks that the Capitol destroyed District 13 long ago, but the others say it's been rebuilt.

The next Hunger Games are announced, it is a special one called the Quarter Quell. The Quells celebrate anniversaries and are unusual then the normal Games. In this one, the 75th Games, former winners will have to re-enter the arena. This means Katniss have to go back and risk almost certain death for the second time. However since them three are the only winners for district 12, Katniss will have to go since she is the only girl, now the boy will have to be decided by the capital. Peeta is the chosen one and they work out to get into shape and work on strategize as much as they can.  At the opening ceremony they both look stunning thanks to their stylist Cinna and there they meet some of their opponents, like the handsome and dangerous Finnick and Johanna.

During the televised interviews, Katniss is wearing a wedding dress that turns into a mockingjay outfit when she spins. Cinna, put himself in great danger by making it. Peeta tells the audience that he and Katniss are already married and that Katniss is pregnant. This really softens the audience. Cinna goes with Katniss to the arena. As Katniss is being taken to the Games, she has to watch helplessly as Cinna is being viciously beaten. President Snow definitely didn't enjoy the outfit Cinna made for Katniss. As they arrive they are all dropped in the arena surrounded by water, Katniss grabs a bow and arrow and crosses paths with Finick (district 4). They both work together to save their friends, Peeta and Mags. Katniss realizes that the whole arena is bound by a force field; this will help her later on. Then there is a poison gas which Mags is unable to escape. Once they reach the beach they are attached by vicious monkeys.  The next day, they meet up with three more potential allies: Johanna, Beetee, and Wiress. Beetee is holding on to her life and Wiress keeps on saying TIK TOK. Katniss realizes that she means that the arena is a clock, it has many danger zones that go off during a certain hour, and are organized in the shape of a clock. In a certain part of the arena, Katniss and Finnick are different from the others; they can hear the voices of the people they love screaming in agony, it is emotionally traumatizing. The team talks about how to kill the other tributes who aren't their allies. Beetee has a plan to electrocute the arena with his coil of wire. Katniss is wounded but still realizes an important part in Beetee's plan. She ties the end of the wire around one of her arrows, points and shoots at the force field and the arena explodes. When Katniss wakes up she realizes she is in an aircraft with Plutarch and Haymitch, along with Finnick, Beetee, and some others. 

I am sure you guys are confused what is happening why is she in an aircraft and not in the games, what will happen to them. Well if you want to know read my next post or read the book.
