This book takes place Arkansas, after the end of World War II. Patty, the main character is a 12 year old girl who Jewish. This book starts off where patty is at the train station with the rest of the town. They watch as Nazi's are taken out of trains and put into prisons. Patty has grown up without her parents really caring about her. They never really cared. Her mother and father both own a county store in town were they spend most of the day. One day she meets a a Nazi boy named Anton. He seems very different then the mean Nazi's were portrayed as. 
This book is very interesting so far. It is written in a way of making you want to read on. Some of the words are hard to understand. I would recommend this book to boy and girls who like to learn some history and like a little romance
