ORR 2 Qt 2 Roy: Historical Fiction book: Goddess of Yesterday

The Goddess of Yesterday. This story is based in Ancient Greece where the king takes a famous pirate's vulnerable young daughter. She shows them to her father's treasures and is taken to their town where she bonds with the king's daughter. Although she doesn't fit in as well, and is no longer worth of a hostage since noone will be coming back for her, she is welcomed by the Queen to stay at the palace. This book is actually complex and has a nice story line for 8th grade readers. I can't make a reccomendation yet because I haven't read so much of the book yet. I would give the book an 8.5/10 so far.

  1. Seems interesting, though you may want to add a bit more hook to the book if you like it so much.
