NBA players get new offer, and deadline to take it

57%. That's the players' income during the past dozen years. During the 1998-'99 season the NBA had a lockout, which ended with the players receiving 57%. Now the 2011-'12 NBA season was supposed to begin 5 days ago, but due to the lockout all the games until the 30th of November are cancelled. Saturday night the Players representatives, and the owners had another meeting in New York, and the owners made an offer that in my opinion the players have to take! Until Wednesday they players have to decide whether to take a deal which gives them 51% (player income). Although that is 6% less that the last player income percentage, the owners stated after Wednesday they will just give worse and worse deals. Another reason I am so desperate for this deal to happen, is because if they don't agree to this deal, 68% of sports announcers (ESPN, TNT, etc.) all agree that the whole season will be cancelled, leading to the fact that there will be no playoffs.
All-in-all, not only is this a HUGE threat for the season and playoffs, but also puts the owners, the players, and the fans under stress and tension whether the NBPA (National Basketball Players Association) will spare us the thought of the loss of the whole season, and finally agree to the highest proposition made by the owners yet.
