The Bronze Bow

Title: The Bronze Bow
Author: Elizabeth George Speare
Genre: Historical Fiction
Daniel, a strong and study young man, lives in the mountains in Israel. He ran away from home 5 years ago and just got the news that his grandmother is ill. His grandmother and his younger sister Leah, were the only family left, so he went back to the village he used to live in and tried to help his grandmother. His grandmother passed away, so Daniel was in charge of his sister. His sister, Leah, was scared of all people, except for Daniel and their grandmother, so it was hard to get her to the new house that they would be living in, that one of his old friends let him use. Daniel with the help of some neighbors brought her to the house, bringing her there the way Queens normally travel. The men carried her on a platform on their shoulders, and she was covered in cloth, so no one could see her. Daniel and Leah became much closer to each other after the move. Leah started to talk more, and did more work. Another one of Daniels friends came often with his younger sister around Leah's age. They became friends and were very excited to see each other.
Daniel heard about a man named Jesus who was preaching to people in many cities. Danial Occasionally went to hear him. Each night after he came back Leah was waiting for him, and begged him to tell her what happened that night. Some of the stories that she really liked she asked to hear again and again during the day.
Daniel is also raising an army of people who want to fight against the Romans, who have taken over Israel. Rosh, a leader of a band of robbers that Daniel ran away to 5 years ago is also trying to raise up an army against the Romans. Daniel want's to surprise Rosh with all the people he is getting, because Rosh is just waiting for the people to find him not to go and find the people.
I think that Daniel and Leah are becoming really close to each other and I think that they will become even more close.
