Comments:
I read the first 60 pages of this book. It is really interesting and exciting. The setting starts in England, London, and continuous with a sail over the world. The time is from 1768 to July 1771. The main character in this book is a boy called Nicholas.
Nicholas, called Nik, had a very strict and mean father. His father wicked him everytime when he did something bad. Nik was only eight years old when he flew from home. He stole his father's money. The small kid wanted be a stowaway, that's when someone gets on a ship without anybody else knowing. He paid 4 seaman to take him with them. Nik just wanted to get on a small journey but he wasn't. He was hiding for days on this ship until the seaman realized him. They told him he could stay on the ship if he worked hard and behaved good. The ship was called Endeavor and it wanted to sail around the world to catch fish and other animals and draw them. They were scientists. Nik got beat on that ship by a man called Mr. Bootie. The man thought Nik was useless.
Nik saw a lot of animals he had never seen before and he had been in a lot of storms. He got new friends and they got to different shores. Right now in the book they are somewhere where it is very cold and two seamen already died on a mountain looking for food and fresh water. These two were Nik's friends. Nik did not know what he was going to do after the Endeavor eventually came back to England.
