Book:Derrick Rose
Author:Paul Hoblin
 Pages:32
Biography

Aside from reading my historic fiction book, I once received a book about one of my favorite basketball players,Derrick Rose, so I decided to post about it.

The book is basically a picture book talking about Derricks life, and career. Rose has been a Chicago bulls fan since he was really small and always admired Michale Jordan,Rose has 3 brothers, with which he would always watch the games, however when his oldest brother Dwayne got nervous he would turn off the tv! So Rose learned to stay quite and listen to the neighbors who would usually be watching as well. Maybe it is for this that Rose was quite. Derrick played for many different teams, one of his favorite was Memphis.

One of the games they played was against the Celtics, unfortunately Rose's team lost, due to Rose's lack of communication which he later on admits, it was from that game that Rose really started communicating. Derrick Rose was known as Poh because he loveeed sweets, he would eat so many that his friends would occasionally call him that. The team saw how much it all meant to Derrick when he cried after losing 2 games, which is why he always gives his hardest because he knows if he gives it 120% he will bring his team to the championships. In 2008 Rose was picked from the Chicago Bulls and was going home to Chicago! He has been playing there since then, in 2009 he brought the Bulls to the playoffs however got beat by the Celtics, he is now hoping to bring the Bulls even further, however due to his injury he will start playing again next season.

  • Did you know that: Derrick  is NBA'S Youngest MVP?
I liked this small book because it was easy to look at since every page had a picture with it and it really gave a clear sort of way of looking at Derricks life. Derrick is also one of my role models so I enjoyed reading the book.
