This week while I was reading Percy, Grover and Annabeth have to retrieve Ares's shield which was left in an abandoned water park. As they head there they at first find it weird how abandoned it is they also feel it is a trap, but they soon get used to it, on the way they take some clothes which were in the gift shop then they, find the shield on an motorbike in an empty pool, they take the shield but all of a sudden thousand of spiders start coming out and and indestructible net covers the pool, Hephaestus did this since Aphrodite is his wife and she is cheating on him with Ares, cameras directly broadcast-ed Percy and his friends to Mount Olympus, but they managed to escape before the gods got a glimpse of them.
I found this part of the book very interesting because the author in a hidden way and meaning is trying to convey that the Olympian gods were bad they use people and then they cheat on each-other behind the other persons back. The book is very interesting and even though it is fiction it contains a lot of facts from Greek mythology, which helps you understand the situation the characters are in.
Marko if you like the Percy Jackson series there is a series called Kane Chronicles which is like the same thing but with Egyptian Gods.
