Alice Paul and the battle for the Ballot

Alice Paul grew up as a quaker. She was very conservitive and once she began attending university she stuck to her beliefs but still enjoyed learning more about 'the outer world'. Due to her beliefs of all being equal and her father being a proud supporter of womens rights Alice Paul naturally was intriguied when a suffrigest speaker came and spoke and the university she was attending at the time.
Alice Paul as attended 3 different universities and has a PhD and 2 masters in sociology and economic sciences. This is quite impressive in general especially when you consider the fact that most women during her time were uneducated and all the school she attended were mostly men she was usually the one of the only girls in her class.
I am really enjoying this book and im finding great information and rescources about Alice Paul. However, it is a long book and im only a little over 1/2 way through it.
