1) Discuss 2 things about your person's upbringing and how this may have affecting his/her life path.
When Edith Head was a little girl she was always making small trinkets. One of the many things she made was a doll house from scraps which was one of her most treasured possessions. But one of the odd things was that she use to dress up horn toads and play with them instead of the dolls she owned. As she grew up and became a fashion designer when she was having a stressful day she would always say, "All of my intensive imagination in child's play had to be connected into activities i could pursue alone. In later years, struggling as a dress designer, i use to tell myself, anyone who can dress a horn toad can dress anything!" After she got out of university she began to teach French at Bishop School in La Jolla, California. "I have a theory that once you've taught, you can do anything," she said.
As i read i found out that she became a celebrity on her own with over sized sunglasses and rather severe up-tight hairdo. She would rarely speak of her childhood and most people did not know of her past or her parents. She would say her best friends during childhood where her dogs, donkeys and cats.
Was she an only child? Or did she simply enjoy tea parties with her dogs and toads? ;)
ReplyDeleteShe sounds like an interesting person.
