They say a dog is a mans best friend, I agree. From small stretching out to large there are more than 100 types of dogs in our world, all with different characters even the ones we could never imagine.  Some races are:

• ·         Rottweiler

• ·         Labrador

• ·         Dalmatian

• ·         King Charles
•   Puli
•    Golden Retriever

All these dogs have their own unique personalities, if it is aggression or loyalty, however it does not always have to be that pit buls or Dobermans are aggressive, it very much depends on the way the owner treats them and what he teaches them. In this book every page contains a new dog species, their information, story, cures, temperament etc. At the beginning and the end of the book there are quizzes and extra information about puppies or how to treat a dog. For every dog there is a small box:

 

I grew up with dogs and learned to love them, some of my favorite dogs and their traits as the book says:

Doberman

Is a large dog breed known for his force, ability to guard and use for police. He originally comes from Germany and is about 69cm tall.(include video)

These are 2 friends: Ramsey and Pablo, they have more videos, and this doberman is not aggressive.

Dogo Argentino(favorite)

This dog has total white fur, originated in Argentina and was used for hunting the puma , it was once known that this dog was loving and kind, however as it traveled throughout the world it was introduced as a dangerous dog and is now used for protection.

 

Boxer

The Boxer shares its nationality with the Doberman, is a very intelligent dog and is known to have the  LONGEST TOUNGUE FROM ALL DOGS !! My family and I had one ourselves, in the book it says they are very kind to little kinds, we on the other hand experienced something very different, demonstrating that it really does depend on how you teach the dog. Now-a-days it is forbidden to cut the boxers tail and ears, however I think one should because without the cut it is not a boxer.

 

So after all, I think anyone that wants to learn about dogs or just  enjoy looking through pics and seeing what is unique about them would really enjoy this “book”.

This is the fourth book in the series called the Enemy, written by Charlie Higson, the author of the amazing Young Bond series. This book is 464 pages of gripping story line that isn't exactly educational, or very deep, but extremely fun to read. The story goes as follows, (this is a summary of the last three books) to begin with everyone over the age of fourteen starts getting sick, and some die, the doctors can't find any cure, so all they can do is sit back and watch as their colleagues slowly die, and then it's their turn. As for the unlucky ones, they don't get the quick death, they become mindless beings that are slowly decomposing, and with no thoughts except for one, to eat, children. The surviving children organize search parties and slowly become organized, these people, are the survivors. There are many groups of children holed up around London, I think I forgot to mention the setting. Well, the setting is in the present day London. Anyway, children are holed up around London, in places like the Tower of London, Buckingham Palace and even the Houses of Parliament. This book is focused on three characters, Ed, Sam and The Kid. All three of them live in the tower of London, which is controlled by a boy named Jordan Horden who is crazy about the Military. He has organized all of the children into different regiments, The Pathfinders, who find food and, of course kill zombies, which are also known as strangers, sickos and the enemy, depending on the group of kids. There are also the Tower Guards who, as the name suggests guard the tower, and other groups of kids who do odd jobs. Ed is the captain of the Tower Guards. Sam and the kid are best friends, who are inseparable, and both around nine or ten. Sam is a fair haired boy, who is desperate to find his sister. The Kid on the other hand, is a dark haired boy who is used to living in the tunnels, he used to be in a group of kids but they all got sick, as in actually sick, not the kind that turns you into a zombie and died except for him  The kid talks in riddles all the time, it seems as though only Sam understands him. Everybody considers the kid as wacko, but actually he is very clever, has a quick mind, and sucks in all of the information around him. 

One day, one of Ed's tower guards sees a girl in the distance trapped inside a house surrounded by a bunch of zombies. Ed gathers together a team of his best fighters including his right hand man, Kyle, who carries a vicious battle ax. They manage to rescue the girl, who for some reason wears all green, (this will be significant in the rest of the book) but during the confusion of the fight, Ed accidentally kills the girl's friend Louise. When they bring the girl back to the camp she is grief stricken, and is sent to live with the two best friends (who will also be extremely important in the plot of the story). Sam feels annoyed that Ed still isn't letting him go back to find his sister, which involves trekking through the no-go zone where there are wild and unpredictable Zombies. Seeming as though almost taking advantage of this, the girl, Trish says that she will help Sam find his sister. The next day they set up a distraction, a fire, and run in the opposite direction, toward the no go zone. What lies in wait though, they have no idea.

The reason why I stopped here is because after this the story really becomes wild and exciting and extremely good to read. I highly recommend this to any boy with any kind of common sense. I would rate this book nine out of ten.

Hoot got really good. Roy mooned Dana and he started chasing Roy. Roy easily out ran him but realised he needed to be caught for his plan to work. He started slowing down and eventually Dana caught him Roy told him that he would say where a bunch of cigarettes were hidden as long as Dana didn't beat him up ever agin or harass him. Dana of course agreed as long as he gets the cigarettes. Roy told Dana that there was a load of cigarettes in a trailer on the future Mother Paula's site and Dana went that night and Curly was there too trying to catch the perp (mullet fingers). Dana started knocking on the door of the trailer while curly was in there. Curly thought it was the vandal and broke down the door and tackled Dana. He yelled "Who are you?!" and Dana tried to get away by saying his name was Roy Ebernhardt then Curly started asking if he was the vandal and Dana threw dirt in his face and ran away but as he was running he stepped on rat traps the Curly had set up earlier. Dana broke three toes but kept on running. That's when Officer Delinko drove by. He saw a boy running and with something on his feet making a clacking sound on the ground. He got out and easily caught Dana. He asked what his name was and Dana said again Roy Ebernhardt. Officer Delinko knows Roy and knew he was lying. He put handcuffs on him and Dana got arrested. Apparently Dana had done several crimes and got taken to Juvenile Detention Hall. He stays there for the rest of the book. Now Roy can focus completely focus on the owls. Roy takes a newspaper to his school to tell his class about the owls. They all get really upset. He tells them that he is going to the groundbreaking the next day at lunch. When he gets there his entire class is there with him and so is his teacher. Mother Paula is there in person (really just an actor in makup). Roy speaks out at one point and he gets shut down quickly by a construction worker. Then mullet fingers pops his head out of an owl hole and starts protesting and everyone links arms around him. They eventually shut down the project and donate 50000 dollars to a nature preserve. The owls are saved and everything is right in the world... for now.

Science et Vie Junior

Science et Vie Junior is a french magazine that was made for teenagers that love learning about new discoveries and discovering cool facts. It will always bring you interest and make you learn things but in a relaxing and cool ways, each new magazine will touch another subject: hypnosis, catastrophes, vampires, zombies... ext. But each magazine will also almost always have some breath taking, funny, and unbelievable pictures and 1 or 2 comics, talk about the cool, almost magic new inventions as flying car and guns that make you stop speaking. Finally they almost always have an article on the cool new video games, movies and events that are coming or did come up. This magazine is mensual and here is an example of what type of article they write:

Il parait que la musique adoucit les moeurs. Chez les céphalopodes, ça serait plutôt, «l’excès de bonne vibes vous change de couleur. Une équipe du laboratoire de biologie marine de Wood Holes a «branché» une nageoire de calamar Loligo pealei sur un baladeur MP3… Pour voir.

«Insane in the brain» Et pour voir, ils ont vu: les chromatophores, les cellules pigmentaires qui recouvrent le corps du mollusque et qu’il utilise pour se camoufler, réagissent au rythme de la musique ! Au son du morceau «Insane in the brain» du groupe de rap américain Cypress Hill, les chromatophores se contractent et se dilatent, modifiant ainsi la couleur et l’apparence du calamar.

Les calamars kiffent l’électro. En fait, ce n’est pas la rap qui agit sur les chromatophores, mais plutôt l’impulsion électrique qui produit le son sur les baladeurs numériques. Un MP3 envoie en effet un signal électrique jusqu’à vos écouteurs, où il agite une membrane qui le traduit en votre morceau préféré.Dans cette vidéo, l’une des membranes est bien un haut-parleur, et l’autre, la nageoire du calamar. Vous pouvez voir le dispositif entier sur le site du labo. Ce courant électrique d’une fréquence inférieure à 100 Hz est suffisant pour actionner les nerfs, et donc les muscles, de notre gangsta calamar (à ne pas confondre avec le rasta calamar, plutôt amateur de reggae) !

Un rêve pour les mauvais danseurs.

Être constamment synchrone avec la musique, une aptitude plus que pratique pour danser sans avoir l’air ridicule, surtout pour ces messieurs les céphalopodes australiens qui, rappelons-le, pratiquent la drague en boîte de nuit.

Ship Breaker Week 4

I think it's official, Ship Breaker is one of my all-time favorite novels. Since the last post, Ship Breaker has gotten even more intense, action-filled, and dystopic. So after traveling on the outside of a train for days, Nailer, Tool, and Nita finally arrived in New Orleans. They have no place to stay, and very little money as well. They end up staying in alleyways in the pouring rain, only having the money to buy dead rats. After a while, they finally find a small apartment to stay in. They all find jobs, working for very little payment on the docks and quarries of New Orleans. After several weeks of staying in New Orleans, they finally find a ship, not any ship; but one of Nita's ships. Unfortunately, Nailer's dad ends up in New Orleans too, searching for Nita and Nailer. Nailer's Dad's half men, get in a fight with Tool, and is believed dead. Nailer climbs aboard the ship, seeing if there is anyone who could be trusted. He finds a trusted captain and leads him to Nita. But when they return to the apartment, Nita is missing.
