1. Brotherhood is a social norm present in my book that I like because wherever you go, you always have someone to help you, but today everyone is split into groups.
2. Jeremiah also likes the norm of brotherhood for the same reasons I do.
3. If Jeremiah were transported to 2014, he would be surprised by how open minded people are, in contrast to the characters in the book.
4. Jeremiah would embrace open mindedness of people today because in the book it is hard for him to be in a relationship with a white girl otherwise people will look at him funny.
5. A social norm that is present in the book and in 2014 is education, because it is taken seriously in both settings.
