Living History Week 2

WHAT IS THE GREAT HUMAN PATH? IS THERE ONE I CAN CLEARLY DESCRIBE?
The Great Human Path is a path not easy, as it makes an individual sacrifice something valuable, like a limb, their muscles, or even freedom. However, those who rise above their loss to build for the better of others makes an individual great. Here is an example of this path:

START ===> Building upon an interest ===> Loosing/sacrificing something while interested on the interest ===> Continuing despite odds against the individual ===> Rising above others to aid humanity overall ===> The rest are actions based on the original interest.

DESCRIBE YOUR FIGURE'S EARLY LIFE, FAMILY, HOMELAND and UPBRINGING:
Stephen Hawking's early life was filled with creating remote controlled planes, boats, and flying kites. He spent a majority of his time reading and doing science experiments in his room. At school, he was considered an "Einstein", but  he lacked proper academic skills. His mom and dad had both gone to Oxford University, his father into medicine and his mother into Politics, Philosophy, and Something else. Stephen grew up in London, Oxford. He was brought up with the expectancy of something great, and he certainly delivered. In 1958, Stephen and his friends built a computer named L.U.C.E. It could solve mathematical problems. This is only one of Stephen Hawking's many achievements.

HOW DID STEPHEN'S EARLY LIFE CONTRIBUTE TO WHAT HE IS?
Stephen was not particularly popular, which must have been bad socially. However, this gave him more time during his childhood to study. The studies did turn him into an intelligent child. He also read books and did science experiments in his room with test tubes, wires, and anything he could find. His mother and father promoted education, and his father wanted him to study medicine as well. However, it was his desperation to get the most out of life when he was predicted to have two years left when he was 21 that he really started to contribute greatly to society.

  1. I love your description of the great human path! But you didn't actually give an example of one... but still, great post, Stephen Hawking really was an inspirational and strong person, who achieved so much even though he had so many disabilities.

  2. I like your example of a great human path from start to finish. I also like how you drew a conclusion that him not having many friends made him smarter. However I think he was born like the, not with the knowledge, but for the want for knowledge.

  3. Stephen Hawking is a really unique idea in my opinion and it's going to be interesting to watch your performance. Maybe you should add a picture or something else as a primary or secondary source. :)
