The Steve Jobs Way

Title:The Steve Jobs Way
Author: Jay Elliot
Genre: Biography
Pages read: 116

During this rotation i have learned a lot of new information about Steve Jobs, and his ways of leadership. the first would be that he was adopted at a young age. This lead to some rebellious elements in him in his future. He taught himself to question everything. During his early adulthood, he traveled to India and studied Buddhism. This lead to his insight into perfection and simplicity. He also studied calligraphy in university and that lead to him including some of the first widely used fonts in a graphical user interface. During the beginnings of Apple when it was just Jobs, and the co-founder Wozniak they went out recruiting often. They always looked for a particular set of things. A belief in apple, and a want to change the world. This was how the author, Jay Elliot was recruited. The initial success of Apple was because of their extremely popular computer for the masses, the Apple II. Did I mention that Apple got his name from Steve's love of picking apples in an orchard. One thing that Apple was amazing at doing, was maintaining a strong relationship with his employees. He would always check up on what they where doing, and make them proud if they where on track. He also knew his company inside out, from financial to the plans for the future. Another attribute, that made him different from the masses was his open mindedness. He would easily accept new ideas and plans, as long as he didn't dismiss them as idiotic. Something that he always fought for was looks. He knew that the aesthetics where more important to the product than the software in some cases.

1.The three people who I consider great, would  have to be Marin Luther King, Jane Goodall and Charles Darwin. This is because they have all shaped the world by their kindness and love of humanity, a more knowledgeable place. The place we know today. Jane Goodall helped hugely't do i by making us all aware on animal cruelty and how it affects us. Charles Darwin also increased how much we know about ourselves and how the world worked  that many things in science wouldn't be explainable without that first spark. And Martin Luther king Jr, sure if he didn't do it, somebody else would have, but he has still made a big impact, and those words, I have a dream are still remembered today..

2.The biggest commonality for sure is that all of these people have devoted their entire life, to what they believe in, whether it's our ancestry or electronic beauty.

3.The fact that he completely revolutionized the way we communicate, the way you market a product and he even invented the moue and the graphical user interface. Without him, the world would be nowhere near what it is today.
