Midsummer Night's Dream

Title: Midsummer Night's Dream
Author" William Shakespeare
Pages: until Act 3 Scene 1.
Genre: Fiction/Play

Reflecting on the play, that we are currently reading in class, I would like to say that it is very interesting and creative. Switching between modern and original texts can be a difficult task, especially when the "original" comes from nearly 500 years ago. Overall, I really enjoy reading the play because it is very amusing. The whole context of it is very surreal, as in there are faires and things that are not so true. But adding a little fiction/myth to it is a very great idea, because it enchants the story and adds some colors to it (comedy).
At the beginning of the plot, Shakespeare tells us a little about how it was before; only the father was able to choose who would have the privilege to marry his daughter. In this case Egeus (father) gives his daughter (Hermia) to marry a your man (Demetrius) that is madly in love with beautiful Hermia. But Hermia doesn't love him, she lover Lysander, a man that Egeus prohibited her to marry. To disobey the rules and not get punished, Hermia and Lysander decided to sneak out of Athens and live happily married at his aunt's house 20 miles away. But Hermia's best friend (Helena) knew their plan and decided to follow them along with Demetrius, who she loved.
From there we have small complications, and everything happens in one night. Robin, Oberon's assistant (the king of Fairies) went on a mission to charm and make people fall in love with each other. Unfortunately some things go wrong and it' up to him to fix the mess.

I really have a positive opinion on this and I hope that my classmates do too.
