The Hidden Diary of Marie Antoinette

Author: Carolly Erickson
Pages: 341

This weekend I read the book 'The Hidden Diary of Marie Antoinette' by Carolly Erickson. Though a finctional story i found it very believable, inticing, and imformative. The book starts our when Marie Antoinette is 13 and living in Germany, she is sent to go and marry the new king of France Lois in order to peacefully untie Germany and France. She s truggles with this but throughout her marrige and life being the queen of france from 4 children, to affairs, to the revolution. From this perspective Marie Antoinette was a very brave and c ouragious women, who was strong and dealt with horrible deathly hardships all the way down to her beheading in the end. I really loved this book because I enjoy historical fiction and i think that it was very well written.

  1. I saw the movie "Marie Antoinette" in french before, but I'd love to read the book and relate to the similarities and differences from the actual book/story.
