This week I've decided to read something I wouldn't normally read, just for the sake of my "comfort zone." The book, 'Amber Brown is feeling blue' is about a girl called Amber. Her parents divorced about three weeks ago, and her dad moved to another country. Just a few days ago he came back to celebrate Thanksgiving with his girlfriend. Obviously, her mother has a boyfriend and she is planning on celebrating it too. Amber would like to celebrate it with both of her parents, but that would be impossible because they are divorced. Now Amber must choose which parent to be with over the holiday, and the agonizing decision complicates every aspect of her life.
Reading this book made me remember the good days I had when I was a small child, even though I didn't make so many decisions like Amber because I was too small.
I would reccommend this book for kids below the age of 10. It's not that I really liked this book, I just wanted to choose something less complicated to read this week! :)
