Title: Tan Lines
Author: Katherine Applegate
Genre: Teen Realistic Fiction
Comments: The book Tan Lines is the sequel to Beach Blondes. The second book focuses High School graduate Summer Smith. She had spent her last summer in the Florida Keys, and after the finale of her senior year she is eager to return. Having bonded last summer with cousin Diana and friend Marquez, they have decided to rent an apartment together . With college looming and the end of the summer, Summer's boyfriend Seth doing an internship in California while Summer is developing feelings for a friend named Austin she met over Spring Break. Summer goes through an interesting summer, learning who she can trust and who she can love. This book was a very fun read because it was nothing to serious or sad. It reminded me a lot of a soap opera with everything over done. I would recommend this book, or the whole series (the SUMMER series) to people who enjoy reading novels written by Sarah Dessen
