Books: Anne Frank's Diary
A Hidden Life by Mirjam Pressler
After Anne Frank and the occupants of the annex have been arrested, two members who were helping, Miep Gies and Bep Voskuijl weren't taken to prison. Miep Gies tried bribing the police to have Anne Frank and the occupants of the annex treated better without suffering too much, but the police refused.
I don't think Anne Frank's dairy received any prices.
Anne Frank and her sister both died of Typhus, in the concentration camps of Bergen-Belsen. She was weak and tired, and her whole strength was out. She was separated from her family, and she had no idea who was left alive and who wasn't. If she knew that her father at least was alive, she would have held on a little bit longer. Apparently Anne Frank had been exposed to cold and all kind of sicknesses and was one the youngest in the camp. She had received a little help from a friend by receiving a packet from her friend, but people around her were all starving and it happened couple of times that Anne Frank's packets were taken instead, and Anne Frank was left with nothing. In the end Anne Frank threw all her clothes away and was left with absolutely nothing. In the end she died of typhus. The certain hour wasn't certain but people who witnessed innumerable deaths, claimed that one day Anne Frank was gone. Nevertheless Anne Frank's writing remained alive.
good post. She definitely deserves to be a great human being. She is a global icon of peace. I also read her diary and it was great and touching. great job with this post.
